High pressure finally breaking winds slowly switching to east over the course of the morning increasing to about 10 mph by 2 pm, water in good shape , fishing 3-5 ft water depth , water temp in upper 80s , lures used were sea devils and super spook juniors . Top water bite was good all morning good trout did not catch many under 20 inches , still on good fish what a great day on trout . Caught 20 plus inch trout all morning on top water and tails, just could not do anything wrong . Finished up on the trout took a boat ride about a 2 miles and caught the devil out of mud suckers made up for day before ended the day with 25 trout had 3 under 20 inches up to 25 inches as day before , ended up with 11 mud suckers all around 24-27 inches . Just one of those days would rather be lucky than good . Thank god for these days makes up for all the bad ones . GOOD DAY CAPT. KEN

Winds a little better about 10-15 early with a little more east in the south increasing in afternoon 15-20 mph , water color good , fishing 3-5 ft water depth ,water temp still in upper 80s , lures used sea devils 1/8 oz jig heads . Trout was a good bite all day just could not leave the trout hard to when they are all 20 inch plus trout but finaly did go look for mud suckers , found a couple but lots of little ones . Really had good day on trout but most days on trout have been good this year , ended up with 25 trout only 5 under 20 inches they were 19 inches , 2 mud suckers . GOOD DAY CAPT. KEN

Winds the same only harder 18-20 at daylight is my guess increasing in afternoon to whatever, can not keep up for ever i guess , water still holding good , fishing in 3-5 ft water HEAVY ON THE 5 ft depth, lures used sea devils ( BROWN LURES ) , water temp still great . Well made up for the day before after a slow morning pulled my head out and found the good fish again caught good trout until we just got tired . Had 25 trout to 24 inches and lots on the upper side, had just a few under 20 inches , just a good solid mess of trout , had 4 mud suckers to 27 1/2 inches . All fish released in good shape that we turned loose, no barbs and no pliers used , used trick i learned a couple years ago . Had another good day out with some old friends , those are the hardest because you want them to catch a lot of fish and then when you go wrong you feel bad so when you pull it out it feels great . Winds still blowing hard at daylight 15+ increasing in afternoon to upper 20s , water color good , fishing 3-5 ft water depth , lures used sea devils ( surprise ) , water temp still up is great . Some good friends and some old friends came down we had a good time talking about old times and caught some fish , messed up a little bit , hit some wrong holes , still ended up catching lots of fish up to 20 inches , had our limit of trout early if we wanted , but were culling for little bigger , just did not happen the way i wanted oh well had a great time any way . Had 20 trout to 21 the smallest was 16 inches , and more on the 16 inch size . still a GREAT DAY OUT CAPT. KEN

Winds still blowing at daylight 15 mph increasing early to 15 + ended up in the upper 20s , water good color , fishing 3-5 ft water depth , water temp still upper 80s feels good , lures were sea devils and some of the guys tried gulp it was ok . Had some new guys were not use to wading deep although water was mid belly to lower chest , tried to explain fish are deeper in the summer have to go were the fish are i think they got it after catching fish pretty much all day. Had trout to 25 inches not to many smaller than 20 inches . The main thing is i think the guys had fun , even though one tried to sneak in a jig head with barbs , I hope one day people will understand you do not need a barb to catch fish the barb is for holding bait on the hook . Winds still blowing like the rest of the coast under this high 15 mph at daylight ssw moving se in afternoon and increasing , fishing 3-5 ft water depth , water color good , water temp just right , lures used sea devils . Caught fish all day up to 22 inches just good solid fish . Kind of an easy day had one of my regulars come down by himself , he just wanted a fish fix and boy did he get that . Winds still up 12-18 mph at daylight increasing in the afternoon 20+ . Fishing 3-5 ft water , water in ok shape , water temp still in 80s , lures used sea devils . High pressure and south winds full moon or 3/4 is haveing its effect on the trout but i think its turning around later in the week . Winds and high pressure is back 10-15 mph at daylight increasing early up to 20 mph south southeast and gusting late afternoon, fishing 3-5 ft water depth , lures used sea devils the original sand eel , water temp upper 80s , water color ok . Had some new guys to wade fishing , had never used bait casters , but after a little work they got it down . They caught a lot of fish a couple spots about all we had to go and caught tons of fish . Winds a little stronger at daylight 12-18 increasing in the afternoon to about 19-21 mph , water color good , fishing 3-5 ft water depth , lures used sea devils . Had the kids fishing with me again and of course the dads and grandpa . Another good day with the kids , why do other guides think if you have kids you have to use bait , (not much of a guide for sure ) The kids are naturals with lures they had another great day and caught a lot of fish . Winds not bad 10-15 mph from sse , fishing 3-5 ft water , water in good shape , water temp upper 80s feels good , lures used sea devils and some top water . Action slow on top water did good catching nice trout to 24 inches . On second stop one of the guys got hit by stingray , came in shortly after. Soaked his foot in warm clorox water for 30 minutes , pumped him up with penicillin , triple antibiotic ointment , on the wound he was good to go . Ended up with 30 trout , 2 reds . Trout to 24 inches . No matter what anybody else does when you get hit by a ray even though it feels better take care of it and stay out of the water until it scabs over . GOOD DAY CAPT. KEN

Winds light 5-8 mph from w-nw-ne-e finally staying east 10-15 mph. , water good shape , fishing 3-5 ft water depth ,water temp mid to upper 80s , lures used sea devils , some bass assasins , top water bite was good all day super spook junior . Just one of those great days you dream about , everything was right lots of good toads on trout up to 26 inches reds up to 27 inches . Iask the guys not to keep anything under 20 inches they did just that. The trout were engulfing the top waters lost 2 fish over 25 to them swallowing the super spooks all the way . The barbless hooks on the jig heads save so many fish . Sport fisherman should not use barbs, that i know one under sized fish died . Another great day at the office . Of course all days at my office are good days . Winds about 10 mph west gusting to 15 mph at times switching to se gusting in thunder storms , water in good shape , fishing 3-5 ft water depth ,lures used sea devils and superspook junior , water in low to mid 80s . Once again caught fish all day again not quite as big on trout , most of them 20 to 23.6 inches lots of 18 19 inchers . Ended up with 20 trout , 12 mud suckers . Winds still good, light out of the west to nwest slowly switching to ene 10-15 mph , waterin good shape , fishing 3-5 ft water depth , water still in low to mid 80s , lures used sea devils , super spook juniors . Top water bite pretty good all day told the guys not to keep any trout under 20 inches . They did just that , had 20 trout 20-26.6 inches , 8 mud suckers . Was just one of those days were nothing you did was wrong , caught fish until our arms hurt i think we killed one under size trout . Due to the fact that i use barbless hooks , if you are releasing fish why not go barbless , does not make sense for fisherman to use a barbed hook if you are releasing fish you will not loose any more fish than with a barb. Did not keep one fish under 20 inches up to 25.5 inches , water in great shape good color . Caught good solid toads all day long , went to work on reds kept a couple . Winds SSE 8-10 mph. wow , water color good , fishing 3-5 ft water , water temp on the rise low 80s , lures were top waters and sea devils . had some good fish on top water then went to sea devils , top used super spook juniors . Had a really good day with 2 fishing caught fish all day of course most fish released were in good shape because we all used barbless hooks , and the quick release method i teach without useing any pliers . It is real easy on fish they swim off just with a slite sore mouth . If everyone would realize barbs do not hold fish on , barbs are for people that think you have to use bait , that is what barbs are for is to hold bait on the hook . Just thought the winds were blowing yesterday started out at 20+ but i am pretty sure they increased to 30-35 mph , water color good , fishing 3-5 ft water depth , water temp holding about the same . Lures used sea devils , corky devils . Sea devils kicked there tail again . Fish still holding good had most of our trout by 10:00 am all good solid fish 24 trout to 23.5 inches , 1 mud sucker , as with the day before wind just beat everybody up said to hell with it , went home had some todies and relaxed . Winds 11-13 mph water holding good , fishing 3-5 ft depth , water temp comeing up to mi to upper 70s ,some bass assins ,seadevils held tough against the competion , no good on top waters . Had 20trout to 25 inches , still for me no mud suckers , but with a morning like this who can complain we had or 20 trout in about 20 minutes stayed and played till late morning then came in early guys tired , no barbs so fish went back in water in good shape ,tried to keep count but stopped around 200 yes 200 and like i said all wre in good shape after release , only two died . what a day. Winds calm with dense fog water color alittle off , fishing 3-5 ft water depth. Very slow again even after fog cleared . Wind increased in afternoon to 15-18 mph , fish still had lock jaw . Throwing everthing in the book at them just did not happen. Seadevils were used as well as top waters . Another tough day the guys stayed tough , same results of the day before but had more under 20 about half of 25 trout , up to 25 1/2 inches. Another tough day hope the wind quits soon . Winds e-ne 17mph increaseing mid morning to 25 mph with some higher gust. Fishing 3-5 ft water depth , water color 6 (good ) , water temp 68-71 depends on area fishing. Lures not to good on top water, sea devils were killers . Had 25 trout 3 fish under 20 inches up to 27 inches , a tough day but we stayed with it and the trip ended up being the guys that were here best trip of size ever , They were some good guys. Got what we wanted calm till about 11:00 am then winds started switching to the north. Throwing top waters superspook juniors and sea devils , some top dogs , fishing 3-5 ft water , caught a lot of little fish , once the wind kicked in at about 20 + mph. The bite was on mostly sea devils but had a lot of 25 - 28 inch trout rolling on the top waters , several jumping all the way over the top waters . Had alot of that , water color was ok not the best, had 25 trout which over half of them 20 - 25 inches hook several that would go 28 maybe a couple to 30 inches , the guys gave me a b+ because we did not catch any over 8 lbs. Fishing 3-5 ft water, throwing seadevils and some top water , the guys gave me a d+ for the day, Caught 25 trout but they were only 16- 20 inches and one red , but was really another fun day. Well had to start over wind from se 10-15 mph at day light , water ok , still fishing 3-5 ft water , very little top water , mostly seadevils , got on the fish really well, day got away from US, time flies when your haveing that much fun . 25trout 19-24 inches long , 7 reds 20- 25 inches . Winds calm early picking up a little more in afternoon 10-15 mph out of the ese . Fishing top water early some good trout to 24 inches a little slower were we have been catching good solid fish had to change location ended up getting into some more good fish up to 24 inches just a couple people , used top waters early , ended up with old faithful seadevils , water off color to muddy , fishing 3-5 ft water . 10 trout 19-24 inches , 1 red 32 inches . Winds were ssw 10 mph. water first stop off color , moved another spot water good , fishing 3-5 ft depth. Lures were seadevils some small mullet lures of brown lures , top water superspook juniors , top dogs, winds increased to between 20-30 mph, as each storm came in . Winds ssw 10+ mph Water ok had to run from boats looks like most of the pinheads have come out the last 2weekends including port mansfields finest guides (HA). Had 30-trout to 25inches &10-reds to 27 inches, even almost getting run over a couple times had a GOOD DAY CAPT. KEN
